Vish Kumar

Biography

Vish is a Melbourne-based technology and SaaS executive with more than 20 years of experience building products and businesses at the intersection of telecommunications, enterprise software and financial services.

His career has included senior product, transformation and general management roles at CloudSense, Telstra, Optus and Equifax, working across Australia, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas. He has driven more than $100 million in revenue growth, delivered double-digit market share gains and built deep expertise in full profit and loss ownership, commercial strategy, business transformation and product leadership, with a strong focus on the Australian and Asia Pacific markets and their regulatory landscapes.

Developing people has been a consistent thread throughout Vish's career, not a side project. He has led global teams of more than 150 people and takes particular pride in the leaders he has helped develop. Many have gone on to run their own product, engineering and delivery organisations. For Vish, growing a business and growing people are not separate jobs. Done properly, they are the same job.

That belief drew Vish to his role as GTM Lead at Skills Shift. He is part of a team helping people build real capability and confidence as work changes in the age of AI, with an emphasis on helping people move through that change in practical ways. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for handling difficult conversations about performance, change and career direction with honesty and genuine care. That is the work he brings to Skills Shift every day.

Outside work, Vish is based in Melbourne. He stays active by playing golf, looks for any excuse to travel and explore somewhere new, and values time with his family above all else.
